About me

Hi, I’m Camille, the artist and creator of Alaska Macramé.

I have always been an artistic individual. No matter what kind of project I decide to throw myself into, I somehow make magic. I enjoy upcycle and DIY projects, from remodeling my home, upgrading an old piece of furniture, or delving into a more fine artwork piece. I find enjoyment in it all.

In 2019, I noticed macramé was starting to make a comeback and I loved all the different things I was seeing and I just had to try my hand at it. I am self taught with the exception of some basic YouTube tutorials of what different knots there were and how to make them, and off I went! It was no surprise, my signature Moose Antler pieces were a hit, and my macramé art began to take off. I learned so much in the process from building my own brand, marketing my art, and creating the artwork itself!

At heart, I am an outdoorsy horse gal & farm girl, and love finding ways to incorporate the essence of my lifestyle into my macramé pieces. Horseshoe hat hangers are one of those staple items for beautiful, functional, and practical art pieces.
